Hello! My name is Ryan and I'm the owner and photographer at Safe Sax Photography.
After growing up in Boise, I moved to Moscow for school where I earned my degree in Saxophone Performance and a minor in Jazz Studies from the University of Idaho, Lionel Hampton School of Music. While in school, my now fiancée and I fell in love with Moscow, so we plan on staying here for a while. I work at the local pet store Pets Are People Too, and we live happily with our little family of animals.
I grew up taking pictures casually. My favorite pictures consisted of my grandma's flowers and the airplanes that my grandpa and uncle, both pilots, exposed me to as I grew up. Only in the fall of 2022 did I start to pursue photography as a career. Since then I've been pounding the pavement to make this a career!
I view my business as the best way ever to make friends. I focus on being as inclusive as possible and I put a lot of value in creating the most fun and comfortable environment possible, so we can have a lasting relationship.
